Deep Blue Distilleries Featured in National Coverage Amid Surge in Demand for Canadian Spirits

Deep Blue Distilleries has recently been featured in both the Vancouver Sun and the National Post, as part of a broader national story examining how Canadian consumer preferences are shifting toward locally made products.

Across the country, demand for Canadian spirits is rising as trade tensions and restrictions on U.S. alcohol reshape the market. In many provinces, American-made products have been removed from shelves, prompting consumers to look closer to home when making purchasing decisions.

At Deep Blue Distilleries, that shift is being felt in real time. Co-founder Kyla Lee shared that the distillery has experienced a sustained spike in orders – with sales increasing nearly tenfold.

“Sales have gone up massively,” she said. “Consumers want locally made products. They want Canadian-made products and to have their money stay in Canada.”

This growing preference reflects more than just availability. It signals a broader movement toward supporting local businesses, strengthening domestic production, and investing in Canadian industry.

We’re proud to be part of this shift and grateful to everyone choosing to support local distilleries.
